hey guys, today (ah, after midnight – yesterday it is) Apple once more let lose the god of marketing, Steve Jobs himself, who brought us the first iPod that plays video. I love that guy, because whenever he is on stage it is such a great show, and he is by far the best salesman I have ever seen.
Unfortunateley, digging a bit deeper you easily discover that Steve uses to say one thing one time and then the contrary some time later – depending on what fits the product he is selling right now best. That somewhat upsets the community right now, because it was so obvious this time – for years Steve Jobs demented there would ever be video on the iPod. Now it is, and most people already forgot what he said and just crave the product. Others – those “Mac Enthusiasts”, who listen carefull, are upset.
I try to ignore it and keep enjoying Steve’s shows. And – what the heck, Apple’s products are insanely great, so I don’t have to care too much about the salesman anyway.
Regarding me: I wrote the Supply Chain Managemet Exam yesterday evening, a solid 20 page block of paper filled with questions and lots of white space to scribble answers in. Let’s see how I did… Consulting final grade came back, I missed the straight A, but it is a B+, so I am quite satisfied. My room is still tidy, my thoughts are a bit less (since I had to cram my memory with SCOR-Model, Make-or-Buy and the like).
And one more thing: Biggest news today definiteley is that – it is quite a surprise for me – it got possible that I visit Christine in Buenos Aires! Flight just got booked yesterday, and in about 12 hours the plane takes off. I am so excited! I don’t know when I will have internet access, so please don’t get mad at me for more infrequent updates. I’ll shoot lots of pictures to show you, for sure! Hell, I have to pack and wash my clothes and – ah – that all came really surprisingly, but I am really happy about it.
Oh, it’s 3:50 now – time to wake up Michael, he is flying out to Seattle today, and as his flight leaves at the unholy time of 6am, he’s gotta go, and I’ll make him. Right now.
That’s a real surprise! What was the price of the ticket for the flight?
Reasonable.
